As we know Plaza la Isla is one of the most important attractions in shopping centers in Cancun; that is why it has decided to build a second phase located in the adjoining land at kilometer 12.2 Kukulcan Boulevard where it worked 2 decades ago a theme park called México Mágico.

This second phase will include spaces for restaurants with terraces, designer shops, cinemas, kiosks on walkers, commercial locals and others. distributed in 7 buildings of 2 levels, 1 single-level building and 1 building additional for parking.

In terms of design, Plaza La Isla 2 will have a mirror of water on artificial canal with bridges to access the other walkway that leads to the inner core of the mall. This project will be implemented through a trust deed which will have an investment of 450 million pesos via Fiber One and Deutsche Bank of Mexico settlor.

A trust deed is a contract in which one or more people transmit goods, money or rights to present or future, of his property to another person (moral or physical) to be administered or invest the assets for personal gain or a third party. This provides the framework and legal basis for the allocation of economic benefits of ownership of the property according to the will of the owner.

The project entered environmental assessment to the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) on 3 July this year and was resolved in favor of Fiber One last Oct. 7
